Distribution of election materials for Danmusa local government area of Katsina State has been disrupted by PDP thugs, the INEC electoral officer, Itachu Godwin has said.
Godwin told our correspondent that the PDP thugs invaded the Danmusa Local government INEC office and were making desperate moves to snatch election materials.
“PDP organised thugs to attack INEC officials and then snatch election materials on the way. They organised thugs to go and block the way and then station at registration centre”
Godwin said because the security of adhoc staffs and even the election materials could not be guaranteed, the INEC decided to hold on with the distribution pending reinforcement of security.
As at the time of writing this reports, a reinforcement of security has been sent to Danmusa town, the heaquarters of Danmusa local government area.
